REAL Mexican Food

We used to live in San Diego and one our staples when we come to So Cal is eating at REAL Taco shops. Does anyone living/working inthe area have any suggestions of any great taco shops? Thanks!

Thanks Lorealle for the recommendation! We will certainly check it out! My husband misses real taco shop food more than anything else. We just can't find anything that compares in Seattle! We will arrive at HOJO's two weeks from today! But who's counting?!! We'll see you soon!

One of the better known ones is Los Sanchez Mexican Restaurant. Originally near the corner of Harbor and Chapman, they were forced to move by the city to allow for redevelopment.

The current location is on Garden Grove Blvd, about 3 blocks west of Harbor Blvd.

It is an amazing place to eat, and is truly classic Sonora Style Mexican Food.

Thanks Darbeer, that place looks really reasonable and good. Chips and cheese is one thing on a menu my autistic son will eat ;-)

How far would Alerto's be to walk to?? It sounds interesting and we don't get real mexican food where I live in Canada!! But I am visiting with my 7 year old son and he and I would have to walk there...
Only 3 days till we arrive for some Disneyland Fun!!

Alerto's is about a mile and a half walk away [one way] from our hotel.
