Is it true that discounted Travel Agent rates are higher than an Entertainment Card rate? Is so, it's a little perplexing that a travel agent who actively sells your hotel would pay more than the general public.

The margin of the discounted rate is largely dependent upon the rates during the season of travel. Usually, the Entertainment Rate is available during dates of lower projected occupancy, which means that rates for rooms will also be lower. As a result, your 50% Travel Agent's discount should get you the best available rate!
