Room questions.

Postby Kristine30 » Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:48 am

Hi:)

My fiancee and I will be staying at your hotel from May 3 to May 11 (68 more sleeps!!) and we are vary excited. All in one go it is our first vacation together, my birthday on the 8th and we are recently engaged. It is the fiancees first trip to DL and the last time I was there I was 12yo, almost exactly 20 years ago!

Anyways here are my questions:

We are booked into a standard king room (NK1, I believe?), and we have requested that we be in Building 2 (I am hoping this is a possibility, as we booked quite early). What is in the room for dishes? I am guessing just mugs with the coffee pot?

I ask becauase I want to pick up some cereal and milk for us on the way from the airport for our breakfasts for the week. Then, if needed, I can also pick up some bowls and spoons from the dollar bin. Is the fridge large enough to hold a 2 liter (I think that is a 1/2 gallon ;)) of milk and some fruit?

Basically, I want to get off the plane on the 3rd, p/u the rental car, stop for groceries(and be able to p/u everything in one go) and then check into to the hotel. I don't want to have to leave the resort area until it is time for us to go to Universal :D

Thank you:)

Kristine.

Hi Kristine!

Welcome to the Boards! I'm so excited that you will be staying with us this May! :D

There are basically just cups, for coffee, in the room- so you'll definitely want to pick up bowls and spoons etc. before you arrive. [Unfortunately, we do not supply those. And they are available for purchase in our Gift Shop- but I'm sure it would be less expensive to get them from a Dollar Store.]

I hope this helps!
Lorealle

PS- Although we cannot guarantee it, we can definitely note your request for Building 2 facing towards the Pool and our Front Desk Staff will certainly do their best to try to accommodate that for you! ;]

I totally understand the above. We emailed and got a response back, I have my fingers crossed we will be in #2. If not, it isn't the end of the world ;)

Thanks for your quick response:)

Hi,

From what I can remember, I don't think the fridge can hold a half-gallon, at least not upright. You would have to store it on it's side. It can definitely hold several quarts in the door.

HOJO's gift shop sells milk if you don't want to chance it. I usually pack cereal and bowls and buy milk onsite.

This is such a great RESOURCE! Thanks Lorealle and all those who've "gone before us"!

I see that the gift shop sells "toaster pastries"......do the rooms have toasters? This would be so great!

Welcome to the Boards disneybound! :D

I'm so glad that you are finding this place to be helpful! That makes me so happy to hear! Just what I needed on a Monday morning! ;)

We actually don't have toasters in the room, because they present too much of a fire danger! :? But! Our Deluxe and Premium Rooms, as well as our Suites, all have microwaves in them- so you can definitely at least give them a little warm-up if you have booked one of those rooms.

I hope this helps! :D
