Voltage Converters

Postby nicki&jake » Wed Nov 11, 2009 5:06 pm

Hi Lorealle,

I am travelling next week from Australia, and cannot buy a voltage converter for my electrical appliances here. Apparently I can source one when I get there. A voltage converter is not just a "pin adaptor" that allows me to plug my applicances into your sockets, but is one which converts the currency supply and allows my items to work properly as Aussie power supply is 240h and US is only 110h, so therefore my items won't get enough power to charge them.
Can you tell me please if I am able to purchase a convertor from your gift shop?
I have been told that I can buy one over there and they are available from most travel and luggage stores as well as being available for purchase at LAX, but if I can save myself the hassle of traipsing all over LAX after 14hours of flying with an 11yr old, that would be great.
If its not something you stock is there anyway of finding out who may stock them at LAX?
Sorry...I know thats probably a bit of a challenge, but I am sure there are many other Aussie's who would be interested in the answer....especially those who can't live without their hair straighteners and mobile phones.
Look forward to hearing back from you. We can't wait to arrive!

Hiya! :D

We actually do sell voltage converters! They're about $7 US and they are available in our Gift Shop.

Hope this helps!
