Make sure you are getting the RIGHT HoJo's

I was answering a question over at Trip Advisor and found out the former Anaheim Park Hotel has been renamed the Howard Johnson Hotel and Convention Center, and uses the website www.hojomaingate.com.

This Hotel is about 3 miles north of Disneyland in the city of Fullerton and is much different than the one we talk about here.

If you are dealing with a Travel Agent, make sure you are getting the Howard Johnson PLAZA Hotel next to Disneyland in the city of Anaheim.

So if you talk about HoJo Anaheim to your friends and family, make sure they know which HoJo's you are recommending.

Just a heads up :!:

Let me also mention a hint in general, also take the name and address of whatever Hotel you plan to stay at and have it in your carry on.

The address is very helpful for Taxis, Shuttle Vans, etc. For example, there are three different Sheraton's in the Disneyland area, and without the proper name or address, you could be dropped off at the wrong location. You head up to the Front Desk and find out you are at the wrong hotel, and now have to call for another taxi to take you to proper location.

Since I normally book on-line, I always print out the reservation page, so I have the info (name and address) plus the reservation number and other things that make check-in and out easier, such as what the rate I was quoted and the dates of stay.
