March or October?? Or Suggestions!!

Hi HoJo's,

I know it's still awhile until my family and I get there but, my Sister has decided that her and her family need a Disney holiday!!!! This will be their first Disney visit

She isn't locked in to any dates in particular and was thinking March or maybe October 2013???? Her children are young (5 & 2) so she wants the best possible time when the crowds are as low as possible.

I went in September 2009 and the crowds were HUGE!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kellyanne!

Great to hear from you and glad to hear about your sister.

In general terms March is one of our busiest months of the year, while October is one of our lowest. With Cars Land opening in June and Disney increasing their advertising, even October could be crowded next year.

If it had to be March we would recommend as early in the month as possible to avoid the spring breaks (which vary across the US and Canada and span basically all of March and April). And if it has to be in October, we would recommend avoiding the first weekend and Halloween weekend due to special event crowds.
