Strollers

Postby Novembertrip » Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:19 am

Hi all, I am new to this board but I have found it very helpful with our trip planning.

Is there any place near the hotel to buy a stroller?? We are travelling with a 5yr and 3yr. Everyone has told us to rent a stroller but for $15/day, we could probably buy an umbrella stroller. Any advice??

Thanks and I am sooooo excited to visit in November..

There is a Target Store at the corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe, about 3 miles North of HoJo's. I like the corner as there are many other things in the same area, including a Outlet Store of Disneyland Park merchandise.

A Walmart is north of HoJo's going up Interstate 5 at Lincoln.

If you have a car, I would do either.

If you don't have a car, the OCTA bus, Route 43 goes up and down Harbor about every 15 minutes, and takes about 20 minutes to get to Orangethorpe.

If you get the Disney Visa card, then you will get 2 free stroller rentals in the parks each day.
I got the Disney Visa specifically for this reason, but am also considering taking my own stroller. HOJO is very close to the parks, but I am worried about my tired toddler after a busy DL day and Harbor Traffic to navigate. You can take your own stroller and check at the gate at the airport. I do not know about other airlines, but Alaska Airlines will check strollers and carseats at no additional charge and they do not count against your checked luggage. Good luck!
