Mickey Mouse Trick or Treat Party

Postby luvdisney » Sun Aug 03, 2008 9:16 pm

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me about the Mickey Mouse Trick or Treat party at California Adventure? Is it worth the extra money to buy tickets for it? Also does anyone know any good suggestions for helping my 6 year old to be picked for the Jedi Training? He has his heart set on it. Last thing does anyone know if they sell any kind of Star Wars costumes anywhere in the park around Halloween time? Thank you!

This is such a great question! Thank you for asking it!

I've never been to it myself, so I wouldn't be able to answer a lot of your questions, but I did find the official link on Disneyland's page:: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyl ... lOfferPage

Hopefully this will help get you started, and hopefully other veteran boardmembers will join in with firsthand information of their own! :D

Hi luvdisney,

We have gone to Disneyland 2 years in a row in early June. My (then 9) now 10 yr. old has been picked for the Jedi training both years. He, too, loves Star Wars. It might help to make a sign that says "please pick me, Padwan" or something of notice. Somebody else told us to do this the first year, and it worked! Our child already had a Star Wars shirt that he was wearing. This may have helped, too. I'm not sure. The store as you exirt Star Tours has lots of costumes but they are spendy. I found them way less expensive online. You might want to pick one up before you go and take it with you. Just a thought. Good luck! And have fun........may the fun be with you!

Well lets see, Mickey's Halloween treat is by far the most fun I have had during the halloween season in years. All there characters are dressed up for halloween, and many of the supporting cm's as well. Wild and vivid colors on the costumes. Oh and candy stations, DCA has (or I should say) had about 8 different candy stations sprinkled through the park. You just go and get a handfull of candy from each station, provided from a smiling cm, then you go back for more. :D Pay for Halloween treat, go for it, it is so totally worth it in my own opinion. I had an awesome time. Oh wait there's more, there is also a special cavalcade ' esque (cool new word I invented huh??) parade specially themed to halloween.
Bottom line don't wait, get your tickets now and have a wonderful time. I am going again and again.

Thanks WaltandMickey for your views. In your opinion would a 27 year old and 30 year old enjoy it just as much as kids?
We are from New Zealand and don't celebrate Halloween which is why we are coming over for October 31st. I got a little excited when I saw these tickets but then wondered if they are more geared for families with children?
Thanks
Anna

I am 26 and I loved it. It is no more child geared than any other experience in the parks. I love the atmosphere of Disneyland, this being no exception. :)

I'm getting my tickets today! I probably won't dress up but the accent should be distracting enough. I am getting more and more excited :D

Disney provides a bag, generally themed to the current movie or next big thing.
