Kids Suite question

Postby mattred » Sun Jan 09, 2011 10:01 pm

Hey there,
Im curious to know the extent of the noise in the kids suites from the freeway. Does it really bother anyone that much? Can any people who have stayed recently in a kids suite please comment. Thanks.

Also a question for the Hojo people. When do rooms go on sale for over new years? Im looking at a 7 night stay from Dec 29th 2010. Can automobile club members from other countries (ie NRMA in Australia) get the 10% discount that AAA members get?

Thanks for your time and help!! Looking forward to spending New Years with you!!! :D :D :D

Hi Mat!

Thank you for posting your question! Hopefully some past guests can share their Kid's Suite experiences with you. We hear that it is quite acceptable and families now swear by these suites.

You are able to book for December 2011 right now! In fact, it's a very good idea to do so because from about the 20th to the end of the year the hotel is usually sold out or very close. You can book online here on the site. If you have more detailed room questions, feel free to email our in-house reservations team at stay@hojoanaheim.com so they can assist and get you booked.

Yes, we do honor automobile association memberships from other countries. Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, you can all use your membership status and save. They will just need to see your membership card at check in.

All the best and happy booking!
Willie

Thanks so much for your reply Willie.
Sorry, I have one more question. Do any of the rooms come with breakfast, or do the rooms have a toaster?
Thanks again.

We have stayed at the Howard Johnson many times and have stayed in the deluxe queen rooms and the premium rooms and last time we stayed in the Kid's Suite.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood in the city and I have to say that the freeway noise is definitely noticeable, especially if you don't have the air conditioner on. It is a constant hum with the sound of the big rigs more apparent.
That being said, in our opinion, the extra space you have is so worth the extra noise. It is so nice to have two rooms so you can have some time away from eachother and we absolutely love the two bathrooms for getting ready. The two televisions are great too!
After checking out of our Kid's Suite, we had another stay in a hotel and the room felt really small and confining!
I really like the premium suites with the view of the matterhorn but now that our family has stayed in the Kid's Suite, nothing else will do!
The Howard Johnson Anaheim does not have a complimentary breakfast or a toaster. There is a microwave oven and a refridgerator. Our family always brings cereal, milk, bowls and spoons for a quick breakfast in the room if we don't want to go out for breakfast. If we want something more, there are full breakfasts at Mimi's or their delicious muffins to go and there is McDonald's, Millies, IHOP and Dennys on the way.
The on site gift shop sells cereal and other breakfast items too!
