Metro Rail??

Postby waltandmickey » Thu Aug 07, 2008 9:32 am

I am staying at the resort in December and will be utilizing the So. Cal. Citypass I am somewhat surprised no one has metioned the Metro yet to get to Hollywood or Universal. Lorealle do you know where the Anaheim station is located?? Does it have a park and ride lot?? I am just trying to get more info on a transportation alternative.
Thanks so much
Richard

I prefer the Fullerton Station, about the same distance as the Anaheim Station, which is located in the Angel Stadium parking lot.

The Metrolink Trains are a commuter service, so you need to watch the times, though they do have weekend service (took it to Universal Studios Saturday).

The "Metro Rail" is the Subway service. The Metro Red Line goes from Union Station to Universal City.

Also, the Amtrak offers service from both the Fullerton and Anaheim Stations.

Both stations do offer limited free parking, the one big drawback of the Anaheim station is if an event is going on, as you won't be able to park for free.

And if you do take the train to Union Station, get out and check out Philippe's, the birthplace of the French Dipped Sandwich....
