Castaway Cove Open Now!

I think people need to start calling and talking to management and writing letters. A few of us complaining on an "internet" board is not going to get their attention like a phone call or a letter.

No hot tub at night is a big minus.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just spoke with the manager on duty at the HoJo and, according to him, the hot tub is now closing at 7:00 pm when Castaway Cove closes. He indicated that this will be the case for the forseeable future and that there are currently no plans for the hot tub to remain open until midnight as it has been in the past. He also said that the final decision rests with the General Manager, Jonathan Whitehead. I attempted to speak with him directly but he was out of the office.

Hey Everybody!

Thank you for all of your feedback on this situation! We've been pooling together to try to figure out a way to effectively shut the Ship off to visitors while keeping the rest of the Cove open, and we think that we've got a handle on a solution now!

The whole of Castaway Cove will be shutting down every night at 7p for the next three weeks while the barricades/blockers are being constructed, but in three weeks time they will be up and in place to shut the Ship down while allowing the rest of the Cove [including the Hot Tub] to remain open.

Hopefully, these barricades should be an adequate deterrent so that the rest of us can keep on enjoying the jacuzzi!

Lorealle, thank you so much for giving us the information we all wanted and needed. You always come through. I am so thankful that a solution has been found because I really can't imagine staying anywhere else. The bottom line is that, althought the pirate ship with water slides is great for the kiddos, it's the tired adults with worn out feet that are footing the bill and we need our hot tub at the end of the day! I hope the solution works out for everyone. To protect my precious jacuzzi, I personally will not hesitate to report anyone even near the water slides after they're closed. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry if this is a double post but Yay! I'm so glad a solution has been had. I personally found the alternative of being able to rest my tired bones in the jacuzzi as opposed to losing weight or anything drastic like that. I think we should all take on the roles of Castaway cops personally. I am bipping over to Dis to report on the situation.
