Does albertsons accept canadian cards? I read that Vons doesn't and we are wanting to get some groceries delivered to the hotel during our stay since we won't have a car.

All of the grocery stores that I've spoken with have said that they do not accept credit cards with billing addresses outside of the U.S. I'm really sorry about that!

You can definitely grab a cab to the Vons nearest the hotel, though!

Wow...just read this for the first time! I checked out the flyer for that store http://henrys.shoplocal.com/index.aspx? ... hid=880599
and the prices are amazing!! We also eat a lot of fresh fruit and veg, and look forward to our winter treks to California to get the goods even fresher and cheaper! this is the best I've seen... I'm really looking forward to visiting this store! Of course it really helps that it is near the Disney Outlet store!! lol...

Hi Lorealle,
I too will be without a car on our holiday, and I'm wondering if either Von's or Henry's Market are within walking distance?
I'm aware the gift shop has plenty of choice, but there are some things...like bottled water, that are much more economical to buy in bulk. I can't pre order as I don't have a US credit card.
Many thanks

Alas, there are no Grocery Stores in the Disneyland Resort area. You can pick up some basics like milk, fruit, cereal, etc. at the Gift Shop at HoJo's.

But to get to a Supermarket, you need to drive, take a cab, or use public transportation.

I like the option of taking one trip that you can do many things at once.

And that is taking the OCTA Public Bus, route 43 from the area to the corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe, about 3 miles north of Hojo's. The bus runs about every 15 minutes most of the day, and takes about 20 minutes in travel time each way.

www.octa.net

You start at the Bus Stop south of HoJo's on Harbor, near the main Pedestrian Crosswalk to Disneyland (next to Captain Kidd's). Cost is $1.50 each way. You get off at an In-n-Out Burger at the intersection of Harbor and Orangethorpe.

I recommend eating a meal at In-n-Out Burger, amazingly great food. Then check out the Disney's Character Warehouse across the street (Outlet store for park merchandise), plus a couple of other cheap/outlet stores next to them.

Then cross the street (Harbor) and check out Target and Henry's Farmer Market, and then catch the OCTA Route 43 going southbound, there is stop near Henry's, and you get off at Disneyland (main bus stop area) and walk back to HoJo's.

Hope that helps.

If you're going to henry's and you like shopping then DON'T miss Marshall's across Harbour Boulevard from Henry's! It's always our favourite shopping destination - great bargains and all sorts of stuff there from great kids clothes and shoes to Xmas decorations to kitchen stuff and cosmetics. WE LOVE IT!!!

Hi there
Our family are visiting from NZ in less than 1 month (yippee). The reason for our trip is to celebrate our triplet daughters 10 year old birthdays. They have been told to visit a shop called Justice. Can you suggest any others highly recommended for this age group who love girlie girl shops. As we won't have a rental car can you please also advise where the closest one would be and the cheapest mode of getting there. My husband is also looking for a Sports Shop ie Sports Authority. Is this or similar nearby? Thank you :)

Hello Tripletmum! Wow, what an amazing event. We are THRILLED that you will be at the HoJo for the triplets big Bday - woohoo!

Justice is located at one of our close-by malls called Main Place (only 5 miles, just a quick cab ride. Our front office can assist with that). Other shops at Main Place are listed here: http://www.westfield.com/mainplace/ours ... -1986.html. Other popular shops for that age group are; Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagle, PACsun, Old Navy and others. Not sure what you have access to in NZ, but maybe some of these are not available there or they might be more expensive. Main Place will have quite a few of these. Bring an extra empty suitcase! LOL! ;)

Sports Authority is just 4 miles straight north on our main street, Harbor Boulevard, in the city of Fullerton. Again, just a quick cab ride that the front office can assist you with.

The first thing we would recommend for "outlet" shops is the Citadel Outlet Shops. There is a shuttle from the HoJo, more info here: http://www.anaheiminnsider.com/blog/in- ... -location/. These outlets are a collection of name brand shops with reduced price tags - worth a visit!

Hope this info helps. Let us know if not! Happy shopping.
