Crowds in Jan?

Postby BadIdeaKitty » Sat Nov 14, 2009 2:38 pm

We will be in DL Jan 6-10th. I know the National Championship Football game (BCS) will be happening in Pasadena Jan 7th. Will DL be super crowded then?

Yes, let alone will there be the BCS National Championship game being held at the Rose Bowl this year on January 7th, MANY schools don't return to classes until January 11th. There is an issue in regards to Three Kings Day (January 6th) many families return to their home country and won't return from vacation until after that date, no matter what day school starts. So the school districts were losing too much money in unexcused absences, and decided to just change the school schedule to avoid the conflict.

Expect Disney to have some extended park hours to deal with the larger than normal crowds.

And for folks in general, the next weekend, January 14th through the 18th will also be EXTREMELY Busy, between the Federal holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr, and the largest convention that is held in Anaheim each year, the NAMM show. Over 80,000 folks attend this convention for the music industry, and add to that the holiday weekend equals VERY large crowds
