I have done the Pre-Check in before, and it is great.
HoJo's also offers the same basic check out option. Turn in your key by Noon, leave the luggage in the secure room, and HoJo's will allow you to leave your car in its parking lot for the rest of the day. So you can head out to the parks for the day, and then head home.
